Caspar Hamilton Olfers was born in Rye, New York May 16, 1921 son of Frederic and Elsie Billipp Olfers. He had two sisters Ruth and Pauline. In Rye his family lived at 545 Boston Post Road. Casper was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1939. In high school he was a member of the band and the dance orchestra.
Before the war he was working for Jessie T. Davis & Sons in Port Chester, NY
 Casper enlisted in the Army on October 5, 1942, in New York City, New York, during World War II. He was 21 years old.
He married Geraldine Burnet in Rye, New York, on June 26, 1954, when he was 33 years old.
 The couple resided in Chappaqua, NY. and later moved to Jacksonville. He was employed by Singer Kerfor and a member of the Sawgrass Country Club.
Caspar Hamilton Olfers died on December 23, 2000, in Jacksonville, Florida, when he was 79 years old.
Survivors included his wife, Geraldine Offers, and sisters Polly Hodges and Ruth Good.
OLFERS Geraldine B. Olfers, 82, passed away on March 13, 2006. She was the widow of Casper Hamilton Olfers, daughter of the late Raymond D. and Isabel B. Burnet of Winnetka, IL and Wianno, MA, sister of Muriel A. Burnet of Chicago, IL and the late Raymond K. Burnet of PA. She also leaves a nephew Adam W. Burnet of N.J. She formerly lived in Sarasota, FL and Chappaqua, NY, was a former president of the Mt. Kisco, NY AAUW Chapter, was always involved in a myriad of volunteer activity, including the Chappaqua, NY Historical Society, and areas of the medical environment. She held a degree from Pine Manor Jr. College, Wellesley, MA and a BS degree from North Western University. She was a past member of the Sara Bay Club, Sarasota and Sawgrass Beach Club of Ponte Vedra Beach. Inurment will be private.
